Guitar wiring is not working any ideas?

well someone thought it would be funny to cut a hole in the back of my barcley hollow body guitar and pull all the electronics out... well i bought new nobs 2 tone and 1 vol and a new three way toggle switch its the same stuff that was in there b4 only newer and i have to pickups one bridge pickup and 1 neck pickup each has a red, black, and green wire coming from them i followed a two diagrams i found on the internet the guitar worked the toggle switch worked but both tones and the vol dont work i dont know y on the tones i used a bigger cap then they said but it should at least word still and the vol didnt request a cap i dont know what to do next the pickups work fine and the diagram had a newer pickup with four wires instead of three but i connected the green wire to the output jack, the black to the ground and the red ones one to each tone... i dont know what to do now maybe an older diagram for this guitar? 10 points?
